New York Toy Fair is in full swing, and from Lego’s new Star Wars set to Mattel’s $300 3D printer, called the ThingMaker, it’s clear that there are certainly plenty of fun new toys to check out. While in New York for the show, Edwin has been taking in the big city sights, making new friends and meeting with awesome bloggers, gamers and editors (like Fortune Magazine).
For the final two days of the show, the pi lab team is attending the 2016 Digital Kids Conference, located in the Digital Kids Foyer on Level 1 of the Jacob K. Javits Covention Center (Hall 1E – 1E18). In fact, on Tuesday, February 16 at 4:40pm, pi lab President and co-founder Don Inmon is speaking on the “Redefining Retail” panel.
If you’re attending the conference, join Don as he discusses the competition for prime shelf space in stores like Toys ‘r’ Us, Target and Barnes and Noble. The panel will discuss the future of retail, including brick and mortar stores like b8ta and e-commerce flash sales sites like the groummet.com and even Amazon.
While you’re in the Digital Kids Foyer, make sure to stop by Edwin’s setup and say hello. We’ll be here on Monday and Tuesday during regular show hours (instead of at our show booth at 3148). As a special Toy Fair celebration, our band The Wingmen (featuring Vess Ruhtenberg, formerly of The Lemonheads) will be performing original Edwin songs live through the reminder of the show!
